ACCESSIBILITÀ

Livorno without barriers and with children

Here is what this guide can do, what it does not certify, and who to contact before travelling.

01 · The site

perdiqua Livorno

We work to meet the international accessibility standard (WCAG 2.2, level AA). It is our commitment, not a certificate.

  • Keyboard: essential actions also work without a mouse, you can always see where you are, and Esc closes panels.
  • Reading: ordered headings and text in place of images for screen-reader users, ten languages, and the map also has a list version.
  • Display: light or dark theme; the site follows your device settings for less motion and more contrast.
  • Location: optional, kept in the page and never required to browse the complete list.

02 · LIVORNO

Livorno without barriers and with children

Are you getting around with a stroller, in a wheelchair, or with someone who finds walking hard? Here you will find what official sources declare and what is worth arranging before your trip: an accessible place does not make the whole road to it accessible.

From the port, arrange assistance

Read the Porto di Livorno 2000 page on assistance for people with disabilities or reduced mobility, and arrange your needs with the port and with your company before you leave. Also ask whether the service applies to your trip, cruise or ferry.

Get information about the bus before boarding

On the Autolinee Toscane accessibility page, look for information on vehicles and services for people with reduced mobility. If you do not find what you need, contact the company before your trip and ask precise questions: ramp, space for a wheelchair or stroller, announcements on board.

Choose places with declared information

The Comune's page on Parco Pertini gives the park's declared accessibility: it is a good starting point, but it does not verify the accessibility of the entire route to the park. Before going out, also find out about restrooms and water points along your way.

Tell us what blocks you

Tell us if a label is unclear, a control does not work with your assistive technology, or a city detail is missing. Write the device, browser, page and what you were doing. We see it as our own mistake to fix.
