The seafront, from Bagnante to the Rotonda di Ardenza
According to Visit Livorno, the lungomare (seafront) is the longest seaside promenade in Tuscany. This stretch goes from the Terrazza Mascagni, the viewpoint with its black-and-white chequered floor, to piazza San Jacopo in Acquaviva with the statue of Pietro Leopoldo. It then runs along the Accademia Navale and arrives at the Rotonda di Ardenza, a pinewood of pines and holm oaks facing the sea.

Still to be checked
- This is the longest walk: you can stop earlier or return by bus. AT lists lines that pass by viale Italia and Ardenza Mare.
- With libeccio (the south-westerly wind) and sea storms, keep away from the rocks and the edge.
- The Comune indicates ramps at the two ends of the Terrazza (the Pancaldi side and the Acquario side) and declares the Rotonda accessible also to people with reduced mobility.
- The time shown is a suggestion for walking and making stops, not a route calculation.
- With an orange alert the Comune may close parks and some facilities, as it did with the order of 7 October 2026: check the Comune’s news before going out.
