The centre, from the Mercato to piazza Cavour
A short walk in the centre, along the Fosso Reale. Start at the monument to Guerrazzi and reach the Mercato delle Vettovaglie (Provisions Market): opened in 1894, it overlooks the Medici canals. Then you pass the places marked as the birthplaces of Giovanni Fattori and Pietro Mascagni and arrive in piazza Cavour.
